Snus can reduce the number of sperm and affect fertility. This is shown by a study done at Skåne University Hospital and at Lund University. Snus is increasing The number of snus users is increasing in Sweden, over 20 percent of all men in the country use snus daily. The study shows that snus men have significantly fewer sperm than those who do not snus, which can contribute to lower fertility. – We saw a tendency that the more snus cans that men used per week, the lower the number of sperm seemed to be, says Jonatan Axelsson, assistant chief physician at the Center for Reproductive Medicine at Skåne University Hospital who led the study.
