New studio from former CD Projekt veterans Rebel Wolves

Former CD Projekt veterans, including Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, have set up a new game studio.

Former CD Projekt veterans have set up a game studio where they will be working on a new “AAA Dark Fantasy World Role Playing Game.” The name of the studio, including Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who directed The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, was chosen as Rebel Wolves. The studio’s location was chosen as Warsaw, Poland.

Former CD Projekt veterans seem dissatisfied with Cyberpunk 2077’s development process

Rebel Wolves‘s press release contains some sentences that evoke the feeling of being a reference to the work culture in their old studios and the development process of Cyberpunk. The announcement states that “Rebel Wolves’ team will always, ALWAYS put their thoughts first, and happy developers can make great games.”

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz will take over as the CEO of the studio, while he will sit on the director’s chair for the first game they will release. There is no other information other than the type of game the company is working on and a concept image.

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz stated that he is very happy to work as Rebel Wolves in a studio where people who believe they are destined to make video games come together. Tomaszkiewicz said, “When we make games, we want to make games that we want to play ourselves, and the RPG game on it right now is exactly that kind of game.”
