The fact that a Stephen King novel is to be made into a film is no longer big news. There have been countless adaptations of the horror masters of literature as a film or series. Nevertheless, the latest report of a planned King film sounds exciting, because Leonardo DiCaprio is involved.

Leonardo DiCaprio to Produce New Stephen King Adaptation
As Deadline reports, JJ Abrams and Leonardo DiCaprio with their production companies Bad Robot and Appian Way have acquired the rights to a film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel Billy Summers secured.
The adaptation was initially planned as a mini-series, but the material should work better as a film. The 2021 novel’s plot revolves around the eponymous hitman who dies before his planned retirement from the Mafia eliminate a colleague from your own business should. He assumes a false identity as a writer for his job, which he soon begins to question.
So far, DiCaprio has only been involved as a producer on Billy Summers. However, Deadline emphasizes that the Star could also take on the leading role in the planned film, if the development of the project is going well. A planned start of the Billy Summers adaptation has not yet been determined.
