The Israeli rescue service states that two people were injured in a shooting in the Old City of Jerusalem during Saturday morning.
One of the injured is said to have been hit in the chest in what is described as a suspected terrorist attack.
The perpetrator must have been rendered harmless.
On Friday, seven people were killed in a suspected terrorist attack outside a synagogue in the same city, an act classified as the deadliest attack in years in Jerusalem.
