For the first time in Season 9, The Walking Dead introduced us to its most gruesome villain to date. Played by Samantha Morton, the leader of the Whisperers, who likes to decapitate people and build a border fence out of their heads, may have been dead since season 10, but for the Tales of the Walking Dead Alpha returns once more.
The third installment of the anthology spin-off will be devoted entirely to the backstory of Dee, who later becomes the dreaded Alpha. Alpha’s story from The Walking Dead didn’t happen that way
“A mother develops after she and her daughter flee violence and find refuge on a steamboat.“, says the official plot description of the episode. Trailers and pictures for the alpha episode show the later one Whisperin with a full head of hairwhich should make The Walking Dead fans immediately suspicious.

All the flashbacks that The Walking Dead has presented to us mirror Lydia’s memories back to her childhood. And that this one is extreme unreliable narrator is, the series has already shown us. What we saw actually didn’t happen that way. So, Tales of The Walking Dead shows the real and true story of how Dee became Alpha.
