New scandal with Boeing plane – lost the engine hood

The plane – a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800 – landed safely and was towed back to the gate. The destination was Houston, according to the US aviation authority FAA. The FAA will investigate the incident, which occurred Sunday morning, local time. The American aviation giant Boeing has been under scrutiny since a well-documented accident in which a door plug fell from one of the company’s more modern planes, the stricken model 737 Max, in January. Amount paid in billions After that incident, Boeing has paid the airline Alaska Airlines the equivalent of approximately SEK 1.7 billion. The money will cover losses, lost revenue and service costs – but the airline will get more money from Boeing. In March, another incident was reported involving a 737-800, a model that entered service for the first time in the late 1990s. In that case, an outer panel had fallen off, which was only discovered when the plane landed in Medford, Oregon.
