New sanctions against Russia – Sweden news

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

After long discussions, an agreement was reached among the ambassadors of the member states at 21:00 on Thursday evening.

The package has been in the works for a couple of weeks, without reaching an agreement. Even on Thursday, extra negotiations were required before everything was locked.

Exactly what the package contains has not yet been made public. However, previous reports have spoken of sanctions against, among other things, several banks, Russian television companies, political parties, the GRU intelligence service and a long list of individuals – including 85-year-old cosmonaut veteran Valentina Tereshkova, who currently sits in the Russian parliament.
There has also been talk of further export bans on a wide range of goods, including camera equipment, drones, hard drives, generators and underwater equipment.
