A large egg producer has been affected by salmonella, reports P4 Radio Kalmar.

The discovery at the producer in Kalmar county was made when the Swedish Agency for Agriculture took a test from the packer. These eggs were stopped and have not reached consumers.

According to the authority, there are currently no signs that the animals would be infected and the latest tests, which were done on Monday, showed negative.

There have been several alarms about salmonella during the first months of the year and several food giants have been forced to recall eggs on various occasions.
