New rules should make it easier to move wrongly parked vehicles written on car goalposts. The government has decided on changes to regulations that will come into force on 1 January.
From that day, the Swedish Transport Administration will be able to move vehicles in more cases than before, for example vehicles in ditches or vehicles in rest areas that are used for housing and purposes other than parking.
“This will be another way to access vehicle targets that are often used in criminal activities,” says Infrastructure and Housing Minister Andreas Carlson (KD) in a press release.
In addition, the so-called four-day rule disappears. This means that a vehicle should usually be able to be moved immediately instead of first being patched with a request to move by a certain day at the latest.
