New RPG on Steam focuses on world exploration and strategy

After an early access phase, Wartales has now celebrated its big release on Steam. The game is very well received on the platform with 91% positive ratings.

Wartales is an open-world role-playing game in which you lead a group of mercenaries. In search of riches you travel through a large medieval world. Recruit more members for your squad and collect bounties. There are also a few secrets to be revealed.

After the game had been in Early Access on Steam for a long time, it was now launched on April 12, 2023 with version 1.0 on Steam.

Explore the medieval world as a mercenary

You command your group of mercenaries with a mouse click within a large world map. The skills as well as the equipment and the appearance of the troop can be customized. Likewise, the camp is customizable, in which the characters can recover and gather new strength.

You can accept orders and earn your money as a bounty hunter. The battles take place in a turn-based system in which you let the characters attack strategically.

The game can be played as a single player, but also has online co-op. Up to 4 players can start their journey as mercenaries together.

How is Wartales rated on Steam? The role-playing game performs very well on the platform. Of the 9,581 reviews that also rate the Early Access version, 91% are good (as of April 13, 2023, via Steam).
