New roller banks should help police detect souped-up fat bikes

Supercharged fat bikes will no longer be safe from April

Fat bikes could not yet be checked for speed with the old roller banks. But at the new banks, souped-up copies must be easy to pick out by the police. Fat bikes are regularly staged, which is not difficult to do. With a booster kit that can be purchased online, someone can quickly make a bicycle go faster. The bicycle is an electrically powered bicycle with fat tires. They are only allowed on the road if they do not go faster than 25 kilometers per hour. Riders of this bicycle do not need to wear a helmet.
