In the Blood of Dawnwalker from the smithy of the makers of Witcher 3, time plays an important role. The developers want to let you feel this and ensure that you consider several times whether you really need the mini -game.

What kind of game is The Blood of Dawnwalker? The Blood of Dawnwalker is an upcoming single player Open World role-playing game. The game should be particularly interesting for fans of The Witcher 3, since Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the former Game Director of Witcher 3, works on it with his studio Rebel Wolves. Next to him is also his brother, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz. He was the Lead Quest Designer at Witcher 3.

Developed with the Unreal Engine 5, it will be available for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. “Both actions and failure have consequences”

What role does time play in Blood of Dawnwalker? Protagonist Coen becomes a vampire that is called Dawnwalker here. You decide whether you keep your humanity or use the new forces – which could endanger your family’s life. You stay for 30 days and nights for rescue or revenge.

The fight against people, vampires and monsters brings potential allies, during the time of day and encounters influence the course of the game. If you want to experience everything, you have to play through the game several times, because time is on your neck and every decision for or against the mini -game that looks at you around the next corner can have consequences.

This is how design Director Daniel Sadowski says in an interview:

We want the time system to be part of the narrative experience and have part of the whole ‘Both acting and non -action consequences’ [Konzepts]. It will work in an interesting way. It will definitely force you to make decisions in some places, for example what you do and what you should ignore, because you also have to decide which content you do and which you want to ignore to maximize your chances.

With this decision they want to move the players deeper into history and improve immersion. Players should literally feel that they may have an impact on the course of the game for every decision for or against a quest or activity.

In addition to time, the classic blood thirst of your vampire also plays a major role in Blood of Dawnwalker. Because compared to other games, the title should offer a special freedom that can also completely mess up your game: In the new role -playing game of a Lead of Witcher 3 you can mess up the whole game if you don’t take care of your blood thirst
