Starting in the fall, it will be possible to make extensions of up to 30 square meters without building permits.
In addition, one should make it easier for those who want to install solar cells at their house.
– We want to present a massive rule simplification package, says Andreas Carlson, Minister of Infrastructure and Housing.
The proposals are included in the remit that the government now presents when it comes to simplification of the rules for building permits. The current Planning and Building Act has almost 15 years on the neck and according to Infrastructure and Housing Minister Andreas Carlson (KD) there is a great need to simplify and clarify the rules on building permits.
– Complicated regulations today inhibit housing construction. More housing is needed, says Andreas Carlsson.
– The changes we now present make it easier and freer for the individual to rebuild, rebuild or rebuild without unnecessary administrative hassle.
New chapter
In concrete terms, this means that a new chapter on building permits will replace the current one and, according to the government, will provide greater freedom for the property owners.
Among the relief of current requirements are, among other things:
A property owner must be able to build a complementary building of 30 square meters within the detailed plan and 50 square meters outside building permits without building permits.
Extensions of up to 30 square meters are now completely praised and may be erected for all types of buildings.
– You can make several extensions at your house based on what is best suited, says Carlsson.
In order to facilitate the installation of, among other things, solar cells on buildings, requirements for building permits for facade changes on one- and two-dwelling houses are removed.
Decorated wind
It will also be granted building permits for those who want to furnish their wind to a residential house, even if it is now contrary to a ban on furnishing wind in the detailed plan.
In addition to simplifying the administration, the processes must also be financially cheaper as no fee needs to be paid to the building committee, the government justifies the change.
The legislative changes are proposed to enter into force on October 1, 2025.
