In total, it is about 2,500 kilometers of cables that NKT will manufacture and install on the seabed and on land in Germany. The cable projects will become part of the transition to renewable energy in the country.

The agreement with 50Hertz extends over several years, and all five power cables must be ready for operation between 2029 and 2035.
