The new MMORPG Abyss Online on Steam is starting an alpha test during the Christmas season. MeinMMO tells you what kind of game it is and how you can take part.
Abyss Online, a sandbox MMORPG, has caught the attention of players – particularly with its focus on PvP and player modifiable quests. However, Abyss Online was originally conceived as a game with a focus on NFTs and cryptocurrencies.
When does the alpha test start? Now Abyss Online wants to start the alpha test and invite players to explore the world of the MMORPG. The whole thing should happen towards Christmas. This is a semi-closed alpha test in November and December. An exact period or date was not given.

What can you expect in the game? It’s a new sandbox MMORPG from a small indie team. Abyss Online offers PvP battles in an open world and also in arenas in 1vs1 and 3vs3, and there is also a ranking system. The large guild battles that should be possible to control areas also sound exciting. There will also be raids, dungeons and world bosses.
The players should be able to modify their quests themselves with the help of an AI in the main story, i.e. be able to give written answers, which slightly changes the course of the story. The world should be able to adapt based on the actions of the players.
A flexible progression system will allow you to gain experience through combat, exploration and crafting. There are a total of 11 classes with 33 subclasses. In addition to fighting, you can also enjoy more relaxing activities, including fishing and farming.
Here’s how you can register for the alpha: You have a chance to play the Abyss Online alpha test by registering with your email on the official Abyss Online website. If you are accepted, you will receive a notification.
The developers promise in the description under the trailer that there will be monthly test phases and content updates. The game is scheduled to go into early access in April 2024.
