New protests have broken out in Iran after reports that more girls have been poisoned in school environments around the country. The country’s president, Ebrahim Raisi, has ordered an investigation, but protesters continued to show discontent and concern. At the same time, they point the finger at the Iranian regime.

– Our enemy is here, shouted the protesters according to Reuters.

Concerned parents have gathered outside the Ministry of Education in the capital Tehran on Saturday to express their concern over the wave of poisonings of schoolgirls that have hit Iran in recent weeks.

During the demonstrations, criticism was also made against politicians and the country’s security forces.

Protests against the regime also took place in other cities on Saturday, at the same time as more images spread on social media of girls suffering from symptoms of dizziness and sudden weakness.
