When asked if he had taken a cold shower, Kretschmann replied that he had done even better, and suggested to the public that he had done the same, suggesting that they wiped with a damp cloth instead of showering.
CALLS ANSWERED
Almost two-thirds of Germans reduced their time in the shower in response to repeated calls from the government, according to a survey by research institute INSA last month.
