YouTube announced that it has introduced some new measures to its platform in order to minimize the negative effects of videos created with artificial intelligence. The company announced that users can now request that deepfake content that imitates them be removed from the platform.
USERS WILL BE ABLE TO REMOVE IT FROM THE PLATFORM
In this context, users will be able to have deepfake content that imitates their face, body movements and voice removed from the platform through a new section added to YouTube’s privacy complaint form.
Stating that its new policy will cover content created entirely or partially with artificial intelligence that may mislead people, YouTube states that each removal request will be thoroughly examined before action is taken.
