Google Drive has gained several new features and improvements in just one week. Playback and search improvements are part of Google Drive’s two most recent updates; so you can expect some of these to appear in your app very soon.
Google Drive is being updated with new features
The bad news is that these improvements are only rolling out to iOS devices, but Google said Android users will get them very soon, too. Importantly, these changes are currently available to Google Workspace customers, Google Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
In addition to search improvements, some new playback features are coming to Google Drive. Essentially, Google is adding the ability to create and play Dynamic Adaptive Streaming (DASH) video transcodes over HTTP for all videos uploaded to Drive.
