Today, June 24, 2023, there was new patch for Diablo 4. The hotfix has fixed the glitch that allowed you to collect unlimited experience points.
The Patch Notes in German – What has changed? Blizzard presented the patch in the official forum and explained it in more detail.
Here are the patch notes:
Gameplay fixes:
class changes
Developer Note: We released Hotfix 12 today that included stability and performance improvements that impacted Hammer of the Ancients. These changes were purely for backend performance, but also had an unintended impact on gameplay. This change was not intended to reduce Hammer of the Ancients damage. We’ve reverted this change as it wasn’t intentional.
Blizzard fixes the EP glitch with a hotfix
What changes? With the hotfix, Blizzard specifically fixed the glitch that allowed you to collect unlimited experience points. This is now a thing of the past and you can no longer exploit certain caves or cellars.
Many players had wished that Blizzard would punish players who took extreme advantage of the glitch and enriched themselves with the error. As someone wrote on the Diablo subreddit, “I hope Blizzard will take strong and swift action against such violations.”
Whether Blizzard punishes the players who exploited the bug is not known. We’ll keep you posted when we know what’s going on.
