New patch brings a button that players have been asking for since release – Patch Notes

Diablo 4 is getting a new patch before BlizzCon. There are tons of bug fixes for Season 2, but also a few new features – including a reset button for the paragon boards. This is well received by the community, but there is also anger.

The highlights in the patch:

This is still in the patch: There are some adjustments to Season 2 features, especially the new vampire powers for all players. Here it becomes easier to increase and improve your strength.

You’ll receive more Powerful Blood from Blood Wells, and you’ll be able to see how a Pact improves as you increase its level. You can find the best vampiric powers in Season 2 in our tier list.

In addition, the zones for whispers, in which you have to kill certain enemies, are becoming smaller. Blizzard is also fixing dozens of errors, although not all players like this.

“They pick the one thing that makes hellfloods even worse.”

The new patch 1.2.1 fixes, among other things, two bugs related to hellfloods:

  • Due to a mistake, the expensive 300-pack boxes could be opened with just 280 embers
  • Due to a bug it could happen that embers were not reset after the end of a hellflood
  • both errors will be fixed with the patch
  • These changes are not well received in the community for several reasons. Infernal Floods are still important for obtaining certain materials, including for the important item upgrades and summoning Uber Duriel.

However, since Hellfloods are still time-limited and not permanently accessible, many players find it difficult to farm enough materials. Especially if you don’t always have time.

Many users on Reddit are upset about these bug fixes. Especially because hellfloods themselves can be buggy and only grant a small amount of embers. The main criticism is that the new blood harvests show how things can be done better.

Blood Harvests are the new feature in Season 2 and the best farming spot for anything in the game. They are permanently active, have enormous mob density and you don’t lose the blood bait if the event ends in one place and starts in another.

Players think: Hellfloods should work the same way. It’s a lot more fun and you don’t have to hope to find one by chance after work. Loot explosions in the blood harvests in particular attract great praise:
