New No 1 is a thriller series that will take

After The Empress dominated the Netflix series streaming charts for some time with its second season, there is now a Conspiracy thriller at number 1. This is the series The Madness with Colman Domingo (Euphoria, Rustin) in the lead role.

The Madness on Netflix: That’s what the thriller series is about

Muncie Daniels (Domingo) is a political media personality and author. When he retreats to the Pocono Mountains to write a novel, he witnesses a murder that is soon blamed on him. The victim is a notorious racist from a white supremacy group. But as Daniels tries to clear his name, he discovers that his family is in danger… and the conspiracy has much broader implications.

The format was created by Stephen Belber (What We Do Next), and the eight episodes of The Madness were directed by Clement Virgo (Brother), Quyen Tran (Ahsoka) and Jessica Lowrey (Heels). The format has been online since then November 28, 2024.

On Instagram, leading actor Colman Domingo was noticeably happy about the success of his new Netflix series – not least because of his hometown Philadelphia is so authentically represented:

Thank you everyone for watching. #1 in less than 48 hours! Yay. I really appreciate the love for the series. In one episode I run past my parents’ house. In another, I grilled in my childhood park in West Philly. My showrunners and directors were great. I wanted to have some of my authentic Philly in it through Muncie Daniels. The current series charts from Netflix
