Richard Arnold is leaving the post as CEO of Manchester United, the club announced.
The 52-year-old has, among other things, been criticized for his actions in the scandal surrounding the player Mason Greenwood.
Now there is much to be said for Sir Jim Ratcliffe taking over the club’s sporting management.
Richard Arnold took over the CEO role of the Premier League side in February 2022, after the deeply unpopular representative among the fans Ed Woodward.
52-year-old Arnold has been the face of the unpopular Glazer family of owners. Among other things, he received harsh criticism for his actions in the case of Mason Greenwood – The United player who was accused of assault and rape by his partner.

Now Arnold has done his part at Manchester United. The club confirms on its website that he is handing over control immediately. Legal counsel Patrick Stewart takes over the board until a new CEO has been appointed.
According to British data lies Jean-Claude Blanc, formerly at Juventus, good for the job. It would indicate that the British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe – owner of the company Ineos, to which Blanc is linked – is close to taking over the sporting control of the club.
