New news about Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the hopeful pictures – then the Swedish superstar may be back

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

There have been many questions surrounding Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his knee injury.
Lately there has been talk of a comeback which is not far off.
But now comes new worrying information regarding “Ibra’s” injury situation.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 41, was a big factor in his AC Milan taking home the league title in the Italian league last season. But after the end of the season, the Swedish striker was forced to undergo knee surgery in May, an operation that has since kept the superstar out of action.

May take longer

But in the last month, Ibrahimovic himself has shown his progress, including on his social channels, where you get the feeling that a comeback is approaching. The club have also counted on having their striker and leader back when Milan take on Tottenham in the last 16 of the Champions League on February 14 and March 8 respectively.

But despite Ibrahimovic’s progress, that doesn’t seem to be the case, after all. The Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the Swede still has pain in his knee, and that a comeback on the field will take longer.

Miss the final

The Italian newspaper further reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is working hard to strengthen the musculature in and around his knee and that it is not yet possible to set a specific date for when he could possibly be back in action again, even if one has not given up hope regarding the Champions The league matches.

During Wednesday, Milan plays the final of the Italian Super Cup against Inter in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. But instead of traveling with the team there, “Ibra” will remain at home in Italy, where rehabilitation is expected to continue in the hope of being back on the field as soon as possible.
