The midfield talent Hugo Larsson left the Swedish national team after a conflict with the national team captain, with what was described as “a slight feeling of injury”.

Hugo Larsson came into focus last week, then a conflict with the national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson about why the midfield talent was benched when Sweden met Azerbaijan last Thursday arose.

The national team captain’s public statements about shortcomings in Larsson’s game did not go down well with the midfielder, something he underlined during a press conference.
– I have told him that I would have liked to have seen that it had stopped between us. Some things should stay within the family, he said.
It all ended with Larsson leaving the national team assembly prematurely due to what was described as “a slight feeling of injury”.

Larsson was already training with his club team on Tuesday – and now comes the news that the 20-year-old is ready for Saturday’s meeting with Wolfsburg.
