Negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas start on Monday. But in the first stage only between Israel, USA and mediators.
This is stated by Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah House office.
On Sunday, Netanyahu goes to Washington DC for talks with US President Donald Trump. According to Israeli media, he will also meet Steve Witkoff, the US Middle Eastern endoring.
“The Prime Minister spoke tonight (Saturday) with the envoy Steve Witkoff. The two agreed that the negotiations on the second phase of the agreement will start when they meet on Monday, ”says Netanyah’s spokesperson.
Witkoff will also talk to Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin al-Dhani and Egyptian mediators in the coming week, writes The Times of Israel.
After those meetings, Netanyahu will discuss a time for when an Israeli delegation will be sent for talks with Hamas about the second phase of the ceasefire.
