Involving the Work of Roughly 40 Students from a Figure-Drawing Class Taught by Michelle Carter and a Grade 10 Class Taught by Janie McDermott, the Project, Hope for the Future, Brings Together Individual Paintings to Form an Eye-Catching Addition to the Downtown.
“I think What’s really interests is the hop for the future is (the Students), “Said Bruce Whitaker, Owner of the Inn and a Local School Trustee.
While the Students Initially Had Reservations About the Project, which Took About Three Weeks to Complete, Carter encouraged the Young Artists to Think About Their Own Hopes and Dreams for the Future.
“It was was amazing just to see take off with the idea and really think about symbolism and meaning and purpose and put it all Together in an artistic way, so it was readyie special,” Carter Said.

Grade 10 Student Eli Fox, Whose Contribution Features Five People from Different Backgrounds with the words “love all” inscribed aboors their heads, Said Her Hope is that “We can at least try to get Along.”
“It’s your going to happen, but that’s still my hope,” Fox Said.
“My Hope is that Humanity Can Try to Find Some Kind of Common Ground with Who We Are, Because there’s Many Different People in that picture that come from all different backgrounds, all different places, and I really Wanted to show that in one pace of saying, ‘This is my hop’ that All Try to Have Some Kind of Balance and Try to Just Treat Each Other Well in the Future, ”Fox Added.

“I Kind of Thought of It As Like the Wolf Represents The Man and the Girl Represents The Girl. Even Though theres an unqual power distribution, they can still see eye to eye,” Thornrose Said.

Maria Chernova, an Exchange Student from Switzerland, Made Her Piece with an Emphasis on the individual Instatead of an Idea.
“I Wanted to Talk about the Enrichment of the Soul and How We Should Try, As A Society, To Look More Within – Look Within and Try to Understand Each Other on Deseper Level. What Matters is what’s inside,” Chernova Said.
It was also a nice feeling to leave a small mark on stratford before she goes home in June.
“It’s a great feeling. I’m really glad i got the chance to be part of this project,” she said.

Cindy Yuan, who Painted Faces of Different People on Flowers, Added She hopes for a future that embraces diversity and equity for Everyone.
“The symbolism behind the flowers is that we all are different, and we all look different, but we can all like to our way, and we all come from the same dirt, and we all gonna go back to the same dirt,” yuan said.
“A Little Touch I Added was Everyone is Happy and Smiling. Another Hope for the Future is Peace and Love,” She Said.
“Life, Laugh, Love, If you will.”
