The MMORPG Past Fate has been in development for a number of years, but is scheduled for release on Steam in August 2022.

What kind of game is this? Past Fate throws you into a medieval fantasy world. The MMORPG with Open World lets you explore numerous continents and islands. You also have the option of seafaring in Past Fate. The MMORPG relies on an active combat system in which you have to aim yourself and dodge attacks.

In PvE, the game offers you dungeons and raids that you can enter together with other players. Whoever plays on a PvP server can participate in battles. You then have to defend your ship in a naval battle, for example, or make sure that your fortress is not taken.

In May 2022, Past Fate showed first gameplay from the alpha. The upcoming version on Steam is initially the Early Access.

Different experiences depending on playstyle

Past Fate focuses on player freedom. It’s not particularly geared towards PvP, PvE or the story, but rather what you want to make of it.

The MMORPG offers this content:

  • 5 different classes: Warrior, Necromancer, Mage, Pirate, Priest
  • You can sail and explore new islands like in Lost Ark
  • A story in which you find out secrets and solve puzzles
  • your own kingdom. But be careful: other players could attack you, destroy your buildings and take it over.
  • Day and night mode with different conditions. For example, Dark Mages have an advantage at night.
  • Life Skills, like fishing and mining
  • From level 10 a new dungeon is added every 5 levels
  • In the endgame you can expect raids for 25 players. Some of the raids are said to be very difficult and are supposedly only feasible for well-established guilds.

    • When is Past Fate coming out? From August 15, 2022 you can purchase and play the open alpha of the MMORPG on Steam. The developers point out that there will probably be many bugs initially.

    Past Fate will be Buy2Play, we don’t know the exact price yet.
