New MMORPG on Steam starts beta in November

With Perfect New World comes a new MMORPG for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. Essentially, the game is intended to be a successor to Perfect World, which was released in 2005. The second beta is now scheduled to officially start in November and bring the first changes compared to May.

What kind of game is this? Perfect New World is a new Asian MMORPG that focuses on action-packed combat. These can take place on the ground, but also in the air. A central element will be flying, which also played an important role in the predecessor.

  • When creating your character, you can choose from 3 races: Elvens, Mythics and Humans. The editor is said to be very detailed.
  • You also have the choice of at least 3 classes: Berserker, Mysticsword and Galeblade.
  • The game world should be completely open and have no loading screens. You only have to load instances.
  • The developers promise a wide range of skills and combos to make the combat system exciting and action-packed. You have a total of 14 slots in the skill bar, significantly more than in New World or the upcoming Throne and Liberty.
  • The game’s budget is 300 million yuan (about 38 million euros).

    • The first beta took place in May 2023, but it received strong criticism. Above all, the gender lock, the pixelated graphics and the few classes disappointed many. However, the developers promised 12 big changes, including more classes and smoother combat. It is not known how many of these will be seen in the upcoming beta.

    How do you get into the beta test? All you have to do is register on the official website and fill out a questionnaire. In this questionnaire, the developers want to know which platforms and hardware you have and which MMORPGs you like to play most.

    You will also receive an invitation code for your friends so that you can test it together. However, it is somewhat unclear how this code works, because the test is supposed to be limited in the number of players. There was no promise that all friends with a shared code would actually be invited.

    You can also spin a wheel of fortune once a day to increase your chances or even gain direct access.

    When does the beta start? So far it is only said that it will take place in November. Registration for the beta ends on November 8th at 5:59 a.m. German time.

    What do we know about the beta? The description states that new, exciting content will be playable in the beta. But there are no exact details.

    It also states that the account or the access code for the beta may not be passed on. This time, however, there is no indication that the test is under an NDA. There may be streams and videos for Perfect New World this time.

    The developers also revealed that the progress made in the beta will not be carried over into future tests.
