The Quinfall is a new indie MMORPG that sounds really good in its own right. Basically, it wants to fulfill the dreams of all types of players – whether PvE, RPG or PvP. The first gameplay trailer also looked really good. Now new information about the different types of weapons has been shared.
What kind of game is this? The Quinfall is a Buy2Play MMORPG and promises a perfect mix of theme park and sandbox:
This is garnished with action combat, pretty graphics and a dynamic weather system similar to Throne and Liberty.
But the first impression makes many people skeptical. For an indie developer that has only been around since 2021, that sounds far too ambitious. Nevertheless, they stick to the concept and regularly share new information, including new details about the weapon system.
No classes, but 9 varied weapons
What was revealed about the weapons? The Quinfall does without fixed classes, just like New World, Albion Online or the upcoming Throne and Liberty. Instead, there will be 9 weapons that define your playstyle. Each weapon has two different “subclasses” that you can choose from.
7 of these weapons have now been presented in more detail:
Currently missing information about the dagger and battle axe, which we will add as soon as it is released.
Is there a weapon change? There is currently no concrete statement about a change in weapons. However, the posts on Twitter/X state that the respective weapon is available in an offensive, healer or mixed build. This at least suggests that you are not necessarily tied to a weapon.
What else do we know about the game? From the FAQ we know that The Quinfall will get a German localization. Other languages include English, French and Turkish, which makes sense since the studio itself is based in Istanbul.
The game’s servers should be able to accommodate around 12,000 people, although you are not tied to one server. In addition, there should be no Pay2Win in the game.
When does The Quinfall come out? The closed beta is currently scheduled to start at the end of 2023. This should then take place directly via Steam. There is currently no specific release date.
What do you think of The Quinfall? Does the MMORPG appeal to you? Or does this all sound far too ambitious?
Another MMORPG that also impressed with its trailer is Chrono Odyssey:
