New MMORPG on Steam recalls a veteran of the genre, starts free beta, brings pirates into the game

The MMORPG The Quinfall is starting its next beta this week. This time you can finally conquer the sea with pirate ships and your ability to build houses on land has also been improved.

What kind of game is this? The new MMORPG The Quinfall relies heavily on grinding and is reminiscent of the original Metin2. The menus, animations and even the horse riding look almost like Metin2, which was released 20 years ago. For a long time, it was disputed whether the game even really existed, but the last beta tests showed an unfinished but real MMORPG.

In a new video on YouTube, the developers show what players can expect in the new beta. While the similarity to Metin2 and Black Desert Online was undeniable in the last tests, The Quinfall wants to bring another new element into the game in the upcoming test: piracy.

In addition to trade at sea, there are also caravans in the MMORPG:

What is the focus of the beta? The focus of the next beta test, which starts on September 27th on Steam, will probably be on maritime trade and piracy. The system for this was supposed to have been tested in the last beta, but only a few players were able to enjoy it and what was seen was still quite rudimentary.

In the new showcase for the game, the developers show the improved system, where you can not only sail the seas as a captain, but also choose the equipment of your ship as you wish.

You can then use the ship to travel to waters where PvP is enabled and fight against other pirates or raid merchant ships. These are controlled by players who are trying to earn gold through trade.

What else does the showcase show? In the upcoming beta, the developers want to build on the systems from the last test and show what improvements they have made based on player feedback.

On Discord, a developer writes: “Our current beta includes significant changes, improvements, and hundreds of bug fixes to all of our current content.”

In addition to many action-packed battles against various monsters, bosses and other enemies, the developers are also showing an extension of base building in the showcase. This is an important element in The Quinfall.

Every player in the MMORPG can build a base and produce important materials for their character. Those who produce more can also give the goods to other players or sell them.

Clans and guilds also have their own base, where several players can build at the same time and use the equipment on site. You can also live in rented accommodation, as the developers show in the video.

After not many initially believed in the authenticity of the MMORPG, The Quinfall was able to convince players of its authenticity in the last test, but only a few liked it: New MMORPG is in beta on Steam, is being heavily criticized – so you can form your own opinion
