The company made the following statement regarding this important development:The MG brand, represented by Doğan Trend Otomotiv in Turkey, is preparing to launch its new generation HS PHEV model in Turkey in October. The ambitious model, which stands out as the “Turbo of Hybrid”, will make a difference with its electric motor that runs without consuming any gasoline for over 100 km, its total range exceeding 1000 km, its turbo hybrid engine and ultra-low fuel consumption. Developed at the SAIC London Design Office, MG’s technological marvel, the New HS PHEV, brings a more technological look to the SUV design with its new front grille and thinner headlights. On the other hand, the central black panel connecting the headlights emphasizes the width of the new car. At the rear, the LED taillights reflecting the design of the front headlights are connected to each other with a central motif, while the X shape, which draws attention especially at night, creates a unique light signature. Reflecting MG’s new generation design language, the New HS PHEV offers a width of 1,890 mm and a length of 4,670 mm. The model’s wheelbase has also increased to 2,765 mm, providing an even more spacious interior.

The new HS PHEV easily reaches a range of over 1000 kilometers with its 21.4 kWh battery and 55-liter fuel tank. The most important feature that makes it superior to its competitors is that it can cover a distance of over 100 kilometers on electric power alone without consuming any fuel. Thus, it can be used 100% electric in the city without consuming any fuel, and on long roads with gasoline without range anxiety. With its ultra-efficient hybrid system, the new HS PHEV offers an unrivaled value with a fuel consumption of only 0.54 liters per 100 km.

Thanks to its new generation software, it operates a 145 PS 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine and a 185 PS electric motor in combination. The software, which enables the two engines to work in series or in parallel, and optimizes the relationship between the engines by understanding the driver’s needs, was developed by SAIC engineers. The car, which turns into a performance monster when it needs power, provides surprising economy in daily use. The vehicle, which produces a total of 339 horsepower thanks to its two engines, manages to reach 0-100 km in 6.9 seconds.

The price of the vehicle, which will attract a lot of attention, has not been announced in Türkiye yet.
