Frida Karlsson has been spoiled by a foot injury.
Now she is uploading for the World Cup in Trondheim. Right now she and coach Per Nilsson are still optimistic.

Frida Karlsson’s odd season
It has been, to say the least, a different season for Frida. Just a week before the Sweden premiere in Bruksvallarna, the news came that she would be away indefinitely due to an foot injury. She went to Tenerife and cycled for two weeks and could still be part of the World Cup premiere in Ruka against all odds.

Not only was she in Ruka. She also won 10 km in classic style, with a good margin (46.5 seconds) to second Therese Johaug. Since then, she has only made four more competitions. It has been setback with the injury and sometimes she has had to rest or exercise to optimize the form for the World Cup in Trondheim. After Les Rousses, she decided that she would not compete anymore before the World Cup.
– I have a plan for a long time. I go up and go into my own little world and charge at the World Cup. Now I’m going to get energy from the sun, get good training, release the shoulders and get fully charged to the World Cup, she told Sportbladet.

Now it remains just over three weeks for the ski World Cup in Norway. What is the status of Frida Karlsson really?
– That’s good. She is in Lavazé and stands over today, but she is in good courage and has had a good training period now so she feels safe against the World Cup, says her coach Per Nilssonwho is also a national team coach for Germany, to SVT Sport.

According to Per Nilsson, it may be relevant for starting in all distance races. It would be good for Sweden, as a healthy Frida Karlsson is a big gold favorite at several distances.
