New medal rain for Sweden’s ladies in the skiing World Cup: “A dream that comes true”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Medals continue to rain over Sweden in Slovenia’s World Championships. Both Ebba Andersson and Frida Karlsson were big favorites during Saturday’s skiathlon, and they proved everyone right. After the Swedes reach the lead, they don’t let anyone get past them. The only time it falters is on the third lap when Ebba crashes in a corner, but she recovers quickly. In the end, it will be Ebba Andersson’s first WC gold and silver for Frida Karlsson. The victory comes after the announcement that American medalist Jessie Diggins withdrew from the race, which increased the Swedes’ chances for a medal place significantly.
