At least seven people have been killed in a mass shooting in the community of Half Moon Bay south of San Francisco in the United States. One person is seriously injured.
The shooter first killed four people on a farm and then three people on another farm in the community. The connection between the two crime scenes is still unclear.
The suspected shooter, a 67-year-old man, has been arrested, according to authorities, who also said the suspect worked at one of the crime scenes and is a “disgruntled employee.”
About two hours after the call about the first shooting, an officer found the suspect in a car at a police station in Half Moon Bay. The man was arrested and the police also found a weapon in the car.
The Half Moon Bay shooting occurred less than 48 hours after a lone gunman shot and killed 11 people at a dance studio in Monterey Park, California.
California Governor Gavin Newsom writes on Twitter that he was at the hospital meeting survivors of the mass shooting at the dance studio when he learned of the attack in Half Moon Bay.
“Tragedy upon tragedy,” the governor tweeted.
