Two stores in Tilbury and Comber will now carry the RONA name.
Blake and Bret Drew’s existing hardware stores in the two communities are now part of the RONA network of affiliated dealers. Both locations will be renovated and the Tilbury location will add a 45,000-square-foot outdoor lumber yard that will also serve the Comber location.
The stores will offer lumber and building material products through this the transition.
“We are pleased to make this transition to a full-service home improvement center with the RONA team. This enhancement to our offering is designed to meet the growing needs of construction, commercial and home improvement professionals, as well as small-business owners in our communities,” co-owner Bret Drew said in a news release.
The Tilbury location, built in 1988, has an 11,125-square-foot retail space. It will add three jobs to its current staff of 12.
Also established in 1988, the Comber location has 3,170 square feet of space. The owners will maintain the current seven jobs.
“I am pleased that Bret and Blake have chosen RONA to continue their growth plan,” said Philippe Element, vice-president or RONA dealer sales and support. “With our consulting services and complete offering, our network is the best option to support their vision and their desire to offer outstanding customer service.”
