New Karolinska wrote about patient on Facebook

Karolinska University Hospital reports themselves after writing a post on Facebook about a now deceased patient, reports Ekot.

The post was a response to a critical post written by the patient’s partner. The patient had been seriously injured in an accident and his partner had tried in vain for several days to get in touch with the hospital. In the post, criticism was made against this and then the hospital went to court. The hospital’s post also contained information about the now dead patient.

New Karolinska has now reported itself to the Privacy Protection Authority after the incident.
