FLIGHTS POSTPONED

Lebanon’s national airline, Middle East Airlines (MEA), announced that 5 flights have been postponed until tomorrow morning due to current risks. In an announcement on its website, MEA made a statement about the flights that will arrive at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport for the second time.

The statement said that 5 MEA flights that were due to arrive in Lebanon in the evening or at night were postponed and that the flights would be carried out tomorrow morning. It was noted that the delay in the flights was due to a technical error with the aircraft insurance companies.

The destinations of the flights that have been postponed were reported to be “Dubai-Beirut, London-Beirut, Doha-Beirut, Kuwait-Beirut and Jeddah-Beirut.” In a statement made on July 28, MEA announced that it had postponed some flights from Beirut until the morning of July 29.

ATTACK ON MECDEL SHEMS

It was announced that 12 people, including children, lost their lives and 35 people were injured, 17 of them seriously, as a result of a rocket hitting a football field in the town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights, which is under Israeli occupation.

The Israeli army said that the rocket was fired from the north of the town of Sheba in southern Lebanon “based on their intelligence and their assessment” and that Lebanese Hezbollah was responsible.

Lebanese Hezbollah denied the allegations that they carried out the attack in Majdal Shams, stating that they “had no connection to the incident.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also made a statement regarding the attack, saying, “Israel will not write this deadly attack off. Hezbollah will pay a heavy price that it has never paid before.” (AA)This content was published by Metin Yamaner
