New information emerges on Obi-Wan Anakin relationship

New information emerges on Obi Wan Anakin relationship

As the Disney+ series special to Obi-Wan approaches, information has emerged that may shed a different light on the Obi-Wan Anakin relationship, with Padme at the center of the story.

In the Obi-Wan Anakin relationship, one of the iconic Master-Apprentice relationships of cinema, an interesting information has emerged that Padme is in the center. As the Obi-Wan Kenobi series approaches, the new Star Wars novel Brotherhood by Mike Chen has added a new detail to the story. According to the book, Obi-Wan, who was giving Jedi training to Anakin, noticed the emotional attraction between Anakin and Padme at the very first glance, but set Anakin free in this regard at the cost of going against the Jedi rules.

A new layer in the Obi-Wan Anakin relationship

While Anakin thought he was keeping his marriage to Padme a secret, he was actually watched by Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan remembered his feelings for Satine Kryze during his Padawan days, and willingness to leave the jedi community if necessary. Therefore, he allowed Anakin to experience the happiness he couldn’t have.

Although it feels like Obi-Wan is suspecting something throughout the films, this new detail adds a new layer to Anakin and Obi-Wan’s relationship. It seems that Obi-Wan preferred his love for Anakin, whom he saw as his brother, to the Jedi code he swore allegiance to, and turned a blind eye to the Anakin-Padme marriage.

We will see if this information in the novel, which was published just before the new Obi-Wan series, will have any equivalent in the series.
