New information about Kristoffer Olsson: Vital organs are functioning

Midtjylland gives a pleasing announcement about Kristoffer Olsson.
According to the club, there have been “positive signals” from the hospital.
– The doctors see small improvements, but the situation is still serious, says CEO Claus Steinlein.

On February 20, Kristoffer Olsson, 28, lost consciousness in his home. The FC Midtjylland player was then taken to hospital where he was treated on a ventilator after suffering from a brain-related illness.

Medical specialists have worked to make a diagnosis so that Olsson can receive the right treatment. And now comes a positive message from Denmark.

For Norwegian NTB, Midtjylland’s assistant coach Arne Sandstø states that the situation is now stable with the Swedish national team midfielder.

– Yesterday (Thursday) there were positive signals about what has happened in recent days. The doctors are satisfied. He is stable, says Sandstø.

Later on Friday, Midtjylland CEO Claus Steinlein says the following about Olsson’s condition in a statement:

– The latest news is that Kristoffer’s vital organs are working and that the doctors are seeing slight improvements, but the situation is still serious and he has still not been conscious.

Sandstø says that Olsson’s teammates receive daily updates on the situation and are offered to talk to a mental coach.

– It is natural that there will be a slightly more low-key atmosphere (in the team) and that it affects the atmosphere in the entire club. Kristoffer has been at the club for a long time and has Midtjylland DNA. He is the way you want everyone in Central Jutland to be, says Sandstø to NTB.

– This affects everyone. He is a social and nice guy who has contact with a lot of people. He is the kind of man you notice.
