The Swede’s goal success has made him a sought-after man, and much bigger clubs are keeping an eye on Isak. The big club that is most interested is temporary league leader Arsenal and they are rumored to open their big wallets in the summer for a bid over the billion mark.

English Talksport reports that Newcastle want to increase the wages of Alexander Isak and make him the club’s highest paid player of all time. According to information, they want to keep the Swede in the team and a substantial salary increase should scare away other interested parties.

Isak currently earns £120,000 a week, around SEK 1.4 million, but the plan is to raise it to £180,000 a week, around SEK 2.2 million. We will see if it can be enough to attract the successful striker this summer.
