Joaquin Phoenix is set to meet the devil himself in new horror drama
From World of Reel comes the latest info that the new Ramsay film, titled Polaris, is set according to a source in the 1890’s. Phoenix stars as an ice photographer, who meets the devil in Alaska.
As World of Reel also reports, the director is said to have revealed to Variety that the mix of horror and drama is already finished. In addition to Phoenix, Rooney Mara also plays in Polaris. More information about the project is not yet known.

The new project from the director and the star can be eagerly awaited, as both have already created the outstanding thriller A Beautiful Day in 2017. In it, Phoenix plays the broken war veteran and ex-FBI agent Joe, who is hired by private individuals for brutal assignments. But he has to track down kidnapped girlsusually inflicting great pain on the perpetrators.
You can stream A Beautiful Day for free without a subscription with advertising on Amazon’s Freevee. Lynne Ramsay’s Polaris has yet to be released in cinemas. With the film already wrapped, it could be released sometime in 2024.
