Bloober Team and Skybound Entertainment’s collaboration focuses on a video game adaptation of an unspecified Skybound intellectual property. In addition to The Walking Dead, Skybound is a company that produced the movie Renfield, starring Nicholas Cage as Dracula, and the TV adaptation of the Invincible comic book series. He has recently stepped into the video game industry.
It is currently codenamed “Project R” and is expected to be introduced in 2025. Bloober Team President Piotr Babieno stated that they will present their expertise in the field of horror by collaborating with Skybound and that this project is an important step in their strategic plans until 2027.
In addition to publishing independent video games, Skybound Games took over Telltale’s Walking Dead series in 2018. This increases the studio’s influence in the video game industry.
The fact that Bloober Team has not yet announced an official release date for the remake of Silent Hill 2 and stated earlier in the year that the game was “not ready for release” makes the launch of this new project in 2025 even more intriguing.
