What kind of game is this? World of Horror is a horror game heavily inspired by the works of legendary mangaka Juni Itō. It transports players to a fictional version of the Japanese city of Shiokawa in the 1990s.

In the role of one of the various playable characters, players must try to solve supernatural events. By the way, the end of the world is getting closer, caused by a monster that could also come from HP Lovecraft.

But you’re unlikely to get that far in most runs, because the game is designed in a roguelite style so that you die more often.

How is the game received? World of Horror currently has an all-time rating of 93% recommendations on Steam and is therefore “Very Positive”. However, for the last 30 days it is “only” 83%.

Players particularly highlight the eerie music, nostalgic graphics and general atmosphere.

However, if you are interested in World of Horror, you should keep in mind that the RNG elements can make it feel quite unfair at times – but that almost seems to be a plus for fans of horror and roguelites in the reviews. You feel really at the mercy of that.
