New heat record for the world’s oceans | SVT News

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Measured temperatures in the world’s oceans have never been higher than last year, researchers from several countries state in a new scientific report. This broke the previous record from 2021.

According to the report, the heat increase is a result of human carbon dioxide emissions and a clear indication of global warming. The development means an increased risk of more intense storms, floods and droughts.

-Until we reach net emissions, warming will continue, says Michael Mann, report author.
