The new C3 Aircross, which has a stronger and more stylish SUV silhouette from the outside, now comes with a more assertive, muscular and powerful appearance. With a length of 4.39 meters, the new C3 Aircross continues to be a compact and useful car, while also offering a more spacious cabin. The new C3 Aircross, which will hit the roads with hybrid and fully electric power units, represents the continuation of Citroën’s move in the B segment. “Sharing the same design language as the C3, the new vehicle promises a unique in-car comfort experience.”

Official technical details for the vehicle are as follows: “The new C3 Aircross is offered with two different power units: a 136 HP powertrain with 48V hybrid technology and a fully electric powertrain. The fully electric version makes daily life easier with its range of over 300 km (certification is in the approval phase). In the electric option, the advanced battery system can charge from 20 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes. The new C3 Aircross has a new powertrain with the Hybrid 136 version equipped with the e-DCT automatic transmission.
Equipped with 48V hybrid technology, this version is equipped with the new generation 1.2 PureTech engine, which was specially developed for hybrid applications and consists of 40 percent completely new components. This 3-cylinder engine with a volume of 1,199 cc produces a total power of 136 HP.
This unit features a variable geometry turbo and a cam timing chain with increased durability. The engine, which works with the Miller cycle, is combined with a 21 kW/28 HP electric motor powered by a 48 V lithium-ion battery located under the floor and an e-DCT electric double-clutch automatic transmission.
The hybrid powertrain system offers practical use and does not require charging. It is also ideal for families and reduces both fuel consumption and emissions. This benefits both the user’s budget and the ecosystem. The e-motor (permanent magnet synchronous motor) provides fully electric driving in almost 50 percent of urban use and helps reduce the fuel consumption of the internal combustion engine while charging the battery during deceleration.
The new e-DCT transmission is produced in France and offers the best solution in terms of cost thanks to its compact dimensions. Thus, the carbon emissions of the hybrid version drop to only 121 g/km.
For the first time in the B-SUV class, Citroën offers the new C3 Aircross model with an electric power option. Perfectly adapting to the driving habits of customers in this class, the electric version has an engine with 83 kW/113 HP power along with 44 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology.
