New game on Steam looks like Escape from Tarkov in the Middle Ages

An announcement trailer for the game Dungeon Stalker on Steam has been released and presents a free game in an interesting medieval setting.

The developer Action Square (Studio HG) is known for games like the rogue-lite Metallic Child or the “Virtual Reality” game Overturn. Now they have introduced another game that is very reminiscent of Dark and Darker or Escape from Tarkov in a medieval setting.

Dungeon Stalker is expected to be released on Steam and Mobile in December 2023 and will be Free2Play. You can watch a trailer here:

What kind of game is this? Dungeon Stalker is a PvEvP third-person dungeon crawler where you explore areas in classic RPG style.

You fight your way alone or with friends in the dungeon crawler through different areas and eliminate various monsters that stand in your way. However, the other adventurers present a much greater challenge, since they are real players who are also exploring.

You have to assert yourself against them in order to claim the loot for yourself in the end.

A very similar game is currently no longer available on Steam:

Dark and Darker is still not allowed back on Steam, but the developers are finding another, creative way

By exploring a variety of dungeons, you’ll earn rare and legendary weapons that you can use to power up to face even greater dangers. The areas change every time you start, so you are always faced with new challenges.

In addition, so-called witches’ curses await you in the dungeons, which will burden you with various effects, so that you have to adapt your strategy to the circumstances of each run. But the weather, the time and the climate can also be handicaps that you should prepare for.
