New Game from The Sims Creator Will Wright: Proxi

Will Wright, creator of The Sims, shared new details about the upcoming artificial intelligence-based life simulation game Proxi.

Will Wright, creator of The Sims and co-founder of Maxis, is developing an artificial intelligence-supported life simulation proxy gave new information about. Proxi, which was first announced in 2018, will allow players to create personalized worlds using their memories.

Gamers’ Memories Form the Foundation of Proxi

In Proxi, players will save their text-based memories, called “memes”, and transfer them to the game. The game will interpret these memories and turn them into animated scenes using assets created by the developers. Players will then be able to edit these scenes to adjust details and train Proxi’s mind by placing her memories on a timeline and mind map.

Thanks to emotion analysis, private mind worlds will also change according to the emotions of the memories placed by players. Additionally, shared worlds can be built together with other players. Friend and family Proxies can be added to worlds, played games together, and even transferred to other worlds like Minecraft and Roblox.

Will Wright stated that he wanted to offer a personal experience using players’ real memories and summarized Proxi’s philosophy by saying, “As a game designer, you can never underestimate the narcissism of players. The more I can make a game about you, the more you will love it.” Proxi’s release date and platforms have not been announced yet, but the game is expected to meet players soon.
