Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Presnel Kimpembe is out with a heel injury and will miss the World Cup in Qatar.
This is confirmed by the French Football Federation.
“The decision was made on Monday morning in Clairefontaine after talks between the player and the French national team doctor, and later between the player and Didier Deschamps (the national team captain),” the federation writes on its website.
“The national team applauds Presnel’s honesty and wishes him a speedy recovery.”
