Even though the famous redhead has only been on earth for four decades, his life offers enough material for a Hollywood film. The world got to know Harry as an innocent child who was not allowed to mourn the tragic death of his mother Diana. This difficult time did not pass him by without leaving its mark: suddenly he was seen as an untamed party prince who always drank too much. Then a dramatic change in his image: Harry signed up as a helicopter pilot in the army and flew missions in Afghanistan – an attempt to step out of the royal orbit. But the biggest scandal of his life was yet to come: his love for US actress Meghan Markle (Suits) is dividing the nation.

For some, Markle is not royal enough, for others, she is too black. Racist defamation in the gossip press, but also hostility from the royal family, tempt the couple to emigrate to the USA. The documentary is released on Prince Harry’s 40th birthday
Director Claire Walding will direct Prince Harry’s dramatic career in three episodes; an abridged film version will then be shown on TV. The experienced royal expert already has experience with film productions about the royals: she has previously produced similar documentaries about the Queen (2022) and the current King Charles (2023). Royal fans, but also critics, could get their money’s worth. The scandals of recent years have provided enough fuel to stir up emotions. It is due to be released in time for the prince’s 40th birthday.
